Barbara’s “Easter” or “ Three Crosses” watercolour painting is a copy of Rudolf Steiner’s which was painted in April 1924. It illustrates the Mystery of Golgotha, and the victory of the spirit as opposed to the suffering Christ that we see in most depictions of the Crucifixion. Colour is used joyfully and symbolically in the rainbow motif which represents the Covenant and the hope that Noah must have felt when the first rainbow appeared after the flood. This image will be featured in Trinity St. Paul’s Bulletin this Easter Sunday.
